More Companies Moving to Bring-Your-Own-Device Implementations
We just launched the iOS-native version of our mobile software, Opendoor, the leading solution for field-based sales and service teams. The new release means that Opendoor supports all major mobile operating systems including Android and Blackberry. The new app effectively positions Opendoor to support the rising demand for bring-your-own-device (BYOD) implementations.
“We’ve considered support for iOS for some time, but the customer demand just wasn’t there given the premium to deploy Apple devices in the field,” explains Tom Brockhaus, Opendoor sales vice president. “Most organizations are just firming up their deployment strategy for smart phones and for the early players iOS just didn’t make sense.
Smart phones and tablets continue to grow in popularity, and rather than locking in on a single mobile operating system such as Android or iOS, companies are moving to a support model where users are free to BYOD.
“Our partners have started to ask for greater flexibility in deployments as it relates to operating system,” says Brockhaus. With the launch of our native iOS app, the Opendoor solution now supports each of the leading mobile OSes. The iOS version of Opendoor supports all Opendoor functionality and is already in use with Opendoor partners in the field.”
